Size & fit guide.
The jacket is cut oversized, the way varsity jackets were originally worn. Measure a jacket you already like and match it to the table rather than guessing from your usual size.
-
1

Measured flat across the jacket, one inch below the armhole, then doubled.
-
2

From the top of the shoulder seam straight down to the bottom of the rib.
-
3
Sleeve
From the shoulder seam along the outside of the arm to the end of the cuff.
Jacket measurements
These are the measurements of the jacket itself, not of your body. Lay a jacket you own flat and compare.
-
It runs large on purpose
There is room across the chest and through the body so it sits over a hoodie. If you want it closer to the body, take one size down.
-
What the model is wearing
The men’s shots are on a 6'1" model with a 40 inch chest, wearing a size L. The women’s shots are on a 5'8" model wearing a size S.
-
The wool will not shrink
Melton is milled and pre-shrunk before it is cut. Keep to specialist dry cleaning and the jacket will measure the same in ten years.
-
Between two sizes?
Take the larger one. The rib at the hem and cuffs pulls a roomy jacket in; nothing rescues one that is tight across the shoulders.
